Season runs late November to mid-April. Park City Mountain is the larger; Deer Valley has long been skiers-only and grooms obsessively.

Deer Valley hosts World Cup moguls and aerials under lights most winters, usually in January or February. Standing room on the hill is cheap and close.

The Utah Olympic Park track still runs sliding-sport training and public passenger bobsled rides in winter, and Salt Lake City has been awarded a future Winter Games.

Several hundred miles of connected trail, including the Mid-Mountain traverse, rideable roughly June to October, with a long point-to-point race at summer's end.
