An Olympic park with a bobsled ride, a mountain coaster, and thin air at 7,000 feet.
Utah Olympic Park
The 2002 bobsled track and ski jumps, still in use. Grounds and museums are free; the bobsled ride, zip line and tubing are paid, with age and height limits.
Alpine Coaster and slide
Park City Mountain runs a gravity coaster on rails and a longer alpine slide through summer, plus a chairlift ride for those who just want the view.
Swaner Preserve EcoCenter
A wetland boardwalk with a small hands-on science centre and a climbing wall, on the flats between Park City and Kimball Junction. Pitched at ages four to ten.
Woodward Park City
An indoor action-sports barn with foam pits, skate ramps and trampolines, plus outdoor tubing lanes in winter. Sessions are timed; ages six and up.
Altitude and ski school
Town sits near 7,000 feet and the summits above 10,000 โ expect broken sleep the first night. Both resorts take children into ski school from about age three.
