Run in June, starting late in the evening under full daylight. There are half, ten-kilometre and children's distances, and the field is international.
Sámi Week reindeer racing
During Sámi National Day week in February, reindeer pull skiers down Storgata at genuine speed. Free to watch, and packed along the barriers.
Tromsdalen ski trails
Floodlit cross-country loops across the bridge, free to use, with rental skis available in town. Locals ski after work through the dark months.
