Dingle town hostels
Several hostels sit within a few minutes of the harbour and the pubs — book ahead from June to September, when the town fills completely.
What a day costs
Around €55–85 a day, roughly $60–95: dorm €25–40, chowder, supermarket food and a pint €25–35, bike hire €15–20.
Getting around cheap
Rent a bike for the Slea Head loop, around forty-seven kilometres with hills. Buses from Tralee run a handful of times a day; hitching is normal here.
Free by day
The Slea Head Drive viewpoints, Coumeenoole and Inch beaches, and the coast path out to the lighthouse at the harbour mouth.
Where travellers meet
Dick Mack's, a former cobbler with a bar in it, and Foxy John's, still half a hardware shop. Trad sessions most nights in season.
