Silverado Resort golf
The resort's north course hosts a PGA Tour event each autumn, opening the new season. Grounds passes are among the cheaper ways to watch tour golf anywhere.
Napa Valley Marathon
Run in early spring down the Silverado Trail from Calistoga to Napa — a gentle net descent, vineyards on both sides and a field small enough to be pleasant.
Riding the Vine Trail
A paved, traffic-free path currently linking Napa to Yountville, with the Silverado Trail alongside for stronger riders. Rentals in Napa and Yountville; go early, the wind builds.
