The Windows Section
Four big arches on flat, sandy loops under a mile each, with sanctioned scrambling. The most arch per step in the park for ages three and up.
Delicate Arch viewpoint
The lower viewpoint is a hundred paved yards from the car park. The three-mile hike to the arch itself is exposed slickrock — not for small legs.
Dead Horse Point
A state park with a paved rim path, a visitor centre and a two-thousand-foot drop behind a fence. Less crowded than Arches and easier to park.
Moab Giants
Life-size dinosaur models on a half-mile outdoor track north of town, plus a small museum and splash area. Suits ages three to ten; an hour is enough.
Heat and timed entry
Arches uses timed-entry reservations for daytime arrivals in the busy months. Summer hits 100°F by eleven; carry more water than feels reasonable and start at dawn.
