James Deering's bayfront villa and formal gardens at 3251 South Miami Ave, open daily except Tuesdays, 09:30–16:30. Adult admission is currently $20, reduced from $25 while restoration work goes on, children 6–12 pay $10, and parking on site is free.

A ticketed courtyard of commissioned murals at 2516 NW 2nd Ave, open daily, with work by artists from more than 30 countries. The surrounding blocks of Wynwood are covered in free street art, so budget time for the walk outside as well as the paid part.

The park entrance nearest Miami, on Route 41: a 15-mile loop out to an observation tower that you cover by bicycle, on foot or on the park tram, since private vehicles stop at the car park. Entry is $35 per vehicle or $20 per person on foot or bike, valid seven days, cards only — and the NPS fee page lists a further $100 charge for non-US-resident visitors aged 16 and over unless they hold an annual pass.

The Miami Design Preservation League's guided walk through the Miami Beach deco district: two hours, about 1.5 miles, leaving from the Art Deco Welcome Center at 1001 Ocean Drive, which is open 09:00–17:00 daily. $50 for adults 18–64; there is also an app-based audio version in four languages if you would rather go at your own pace.

Little Havana's street festival, held on the last Friday of every month from noon along Calle Ocho between 8th and 27th Avenues: live music, more than 30 local artists, galleries open late and a free walking tour at 19:00. Free to attend; on any other day the same stretch has Domino Park and the cigar shops.
