The dhow-shaped performing arts house in Downtown Dubai, open since August 2016, programming opera, ballet, musicals, concerts and stand-up across the season, with tickets roughly AED 195 to 550. Metro to Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall and walk from there.

The indoor arena at City Walk, which is what lets Dubai host large touring concerts and comedy through the summer when outdoor venues are impossible. Its calendar is the fastest way to see whether anything big lands while you are there.

An open-air park of country pavilions, street food stalls and nightly stage shows, which runs one season a year and then closes completely. Season 31 is scheduled for October 2026 to May 2027; there is nothing there in summer. It is out on the edge of the city, so budget a taxi each way.

The Marina Walk and The Beach at JBR are the closest Dubai comes to a strip you can wander between bars and restaurants on foot, and they stay busy well past midnight. The Dubai Tram and the metro's DMCC and Jumeirah Lakes Towers stations both serve it.

Alcohol is served only in licensed hotels, clubs and restaurants; drinking in public and being drunk in public are both offences. During Ramadan, service hours and visibility change. None of this stops a big night out, but it does mean there is no such thing as a street-drinking night here.
