Warm sea, a serious aquarium, and heat that dictates the shape of the day.
Antalya Aquarium
One of the longer tunnel tanks anywhere, plus a snow room and an ice museum in the same complex. Two to three hours, from about three.
Konyaaltı and Lara beaches
Konyaaltı is pebble with showers, shade and blue-flag water; Lara, east of the centre, has the sand younger children prefer.
Land of Legends
A large theme and water park at Belek, forty-five minutes east, with rides, a lagoon and a nightly parade. Worth a full day rather than an afternoon.
Lower Düden waterfalls
The river drops off the cliff straight into the sea; boats run out from the marina for the view from below. Ages five up.
Heat, cobbles and timing
July and August hit forty degrees. Beach at eight, museum or aquarium at noon, dinner at nine. Kaleiçi's cobbles defeat strollers; the Konyaaltı promenade does not.
