Climbing is the local sport here; football and takraw fill the evenings in town.
Railay and Tonsai climbing
Hundreds of bolted limestone routes above the beaches, with schools running half-day beginner courses. The cool, dry months from November to March are the season.
Ao Nang boxing stadium
Muay Thai cards run weekly through high season near Ao Nang, with local fighters and a foreigner bout or two. Tickets band roughly 800–1,500 THB.
Krabi provincial football
Krabi's club plays in Thailand's regional divisions at the provincial stadium; the season runs roughly August to May and a ticket costs less than lunch.
Deep-water soloing
Boat trips from Ao Nang drop climbers at unroped overhangs above deep water in the bay, run daily through the dry season.
