Chicken Island, Poda and Tup, with a walkable sandbar between two of them at low water. Half day is enough. Ages 5+.

A short boardwalk through forest to a warm, clear pool at Khlong Thom, paired with terraced hot-spring waterfalls nearby. Ages 4+.

Shaded freshwater pools and a flat walking loop at Ao Luek, an hour north, with kayaks for hire on the mangrove channels. Ages 5+.

Longtail boats have no shade, no toilets and a hot engine — book a half day. Tides decide which beaches exist. Monsoon runs May to October.
