Thapae Boxing Stadium
Muay Thai cards most nights in high season, a short walk from the Old City. Tickets band roughly 600–1,200 THB, ringside more.
Chiangmai United
The city's Thai League side plays at the 700th Anniversary Stadium northwest of the moat; the season runs roughly August to May and entry is cheap.
Chiang Mai Marathon
A December road race starting from the moat while the mornings are still cold, with half and quarter distances alongside it.
Sepak takraw and gyms
Takraw nets go up on public courts around the 700th Anniversary complex late afternoon, and Muay Thai gyms across the city take drop-in classes.
