SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World
A large aquarium in the Siam Paragon basement with a walk-through tunnel and glass-bottom boat rides. Ninety minutes is plenty. Ages 2+.
Safari World
Drive-through safari park and marine show out on the northeast edge, an hour each way in traffic. A full day. Ages 4+.
Children's Discovery Museum
Hands-on science and water play next to Chatuchak Park, air-conditioned and free for Thai residents. Closed Mondays. Ages 2–10.
Cross-river ferry to Wat Arun
The Tha Tien ferry costs a few baht and takes four minutes; the temple's tiled prang is climbable in part. Ages 5+.
Heat, pavements and prams
Bangkok's footpaths defeat strollers — carriers work better. Skytrain stations have lifts, taxis have no child seats, and malls open at ten for the midday retreat.
