Paragliding off Beatenberg
Tandem flights launch above the lake and land on the Höhematte year round, weather permitting — twenty minutes airborne, and the town's defining sight.
Lauberhorn and the ski season
Lifts run December to April above Grindelwald, Wengen and Mürren. Wengen's Lauberhorn downhill, the longest on the circuit, races each January.
Jungfrau Marathon
A September race from Interlaken up the valley to Kleine Scheidegg, climbing nearly two vertical kilometres. Spectators ride the train alongside.
FC Thun down the lake
The nearest senior football is thirty minutes away in Thun, where the Swiss season runs July to May at a compact modern ground.
