From Eigergletscher station down to Alpiglen along the foot of the north face, about two and a half hours, with rockfall clattering somewhere above you the whole way.

A short cable car to a terrace above the village with a toboggan run and a rope park, and the starting point for the walk in to the Bäregg hut above the glacier.

Walkways and tunnels through the Lütschine gorge below the retreating Lower Grindelwald Glacier, with a net strung over the water that you can lie down on.

Postbus over a pass closed to private cars, down to Meiringen, with walking on both sides and the Reichenbach Falls waiting at the far end.

The saddle between the Eiger and the Lauberhorn where the Jungfrau line changes trains. Walk up from Alpiglen and ride back down.
