IFK Göteborg and city rivals play Allsvenskan here from early April to early November; the larger Ullevi next door takes internationals and athletics.
Gothia Cup
In July around seventeen hundred youth teams from across the world fill every pitch in the city, with the opening ceremony at Ullevi. Free to watch at Heden.
Göteborgsvarvet half marathon
A half marathon in May with tens of thousands of runners and a route over the river bridges. Entry sells out months ahead.
Frölunda HC
SHL ice hockey at Scandinavium from September to March, with playoffs into April. Cheaper and louder than a football ticket.
