Out at Åre Fjällby, the village's big after-ski and club venue: seven bars, four dance floors and four DJs, with live music, typically running 22:00–02:00. Winter only — the 2025/26 season ended in early May and it reopens in December.

Ski-in, ski-out hotel on the slope above the village doing the classic slope-side after-ski, with a published entertainment schedule and drink tables you can reserve in advance. You can ski to the door, which is most of the appeal.

Åre Björnen 62, a design and spa hotel a few kilometres east of the village. The lobby bar is open from morning until late and non-guests are welcome, and Restaurant Niesti takes outside bookings — the quiet, grown-up alternative to the village after-ski.

The square at the foot of the slopes is the centre of gravity: the after-ski places and most of the village's sixty-odd restaurants are within a few minutes' walk, so people move between them on foot, still in ski boots, from about 15:00.

The ski season runs roughly December to early May and the summer season from around midsummer; in between, and again through October and November, much of the village simply closes. Check opening dates before booking a trip in May, June, October or November.
