The Mudéjar royal palace and its gardens, still used by the Spanish royal family when they are in the city. Official hours are 09:30–17:00 October to March and 09:30–19:00 April to September; entry is timed and slots go days ahead in spring.

The largest Gothic cathedral in the world, with the Giralda — a converted minaret — climbed by 34 shallow ramps rather than stairs, so it is manageable for most people. Buy from the cathedral's own site; it is the only official seller.

The 1929 Ibero-American Exposition left a semicircular brick plaza with a canal and tiled benches for every Spanish province, backing onto a large shaded park. Both are free and open, and the park is where you go when the plaza itself is too hot to stand in.

The timber lattice over Plaza de la Encarnación, with a rooftop walkway open 09:30–01:00 and last entry at 00:15. General admission starts at €16 and includes the viewpoint, a short film and the Aurora light show, which runs 21:30–01:00 from April to October.
