Sevilla FC and Real Betis
Two top-flight clubs a river apart, at the Sánchez-Pizjuán and the Benito Villamarín. The season runs August to May; the derby shuts the city down.
La Maestranza bullring
The bullfighting season runs from the April feria through to autumn, with fights most Sundays; sun seats are cheapest, and the ring is open for tours year-round.
Seville Marathon
The Zurich marathon runs in February on a famously flat course, which is why it fills with runners chasing qualifying times for elsewhere.
Rowing the Guadalquivir
The Sevilla–Betis regatta rows the river in autumn on a borrowed Oxford–Cambridge format; crews train off the Torre del Oro most mornings, free to watch.
