Palaces, rowing boats and a riverfront — Seville works with children if the day is built around the heat.
Real Alcázar gardens
Peacocks, hedge mazes, tiled pools and underground baths; children run the gardens while adults look at ceilings. Book a slot. Ages 4+.
Plaza de España boats
Row the moat for a few euros, then hunt down every Spanish province on the tiled alcoves — twenty minutes that reliably works on under-tens.
Isla Mágica
A theme park on the old Expo island with a water park attached, open roughly April to October. Coasters for ages 8+, gentler rides for smaller ones.
Acuario de Sevilla
A compact aquarium beside the river with a deep ocean tank, sharks and an Amazon section. An hour and a half; ages 2+.
Heat is the enemy
July and August pass 40°C by mid-afternoon. Sightsee before eleven, retreat to a pool or a museum until six. Cobbles wreck small buggy wheels.
