Benidorm is Spain's cheapest big beach — half-board hotels undercut hostels and the buses run late.

Half-board rooms from €35–55 out of season, a menú del día €10–14, bus rides about €1.50. Budget €45–75 a day, roughly $50–85.
Getting around cheap
The TRAM line runs the coast to Alicante and Dénia for a few euros; local buses cover the beaches, Terra Mítica and the Old Town.
Free by day
The Balcón del Mediterráneo viewpoint on the old castle rock, both beaches, and the cliff path up Sierra Helada from Rincón de Loix.
Playa de Levante
The strip of beachfront terraces below Levante is where everyone converges from about six; the Old Town squares take over later.
