A tiny, scruffy, much-loved bar just off Tartini Square where locals and yacht crews drink cheap wine into the small hours.

Order fried calamari and sardines at the hatch and eat at communal outdoor tables. Cheap, superb and open late in summer.

The run of terraces out towards the lighthouse point catches the last of the sun and fills up from about seven.

For an actual dancefloor take the 10-minute bus to Portoroz, where the seafront clubs and casino run until dawn in summer.
