The things worth doing in Lake Bled, from the obvious landmarks to the ones locals actually rate.
Mala Osojnica viewpoint
A steep 20-30 minute climb with metal ladders near the top, rewarding you with the definitive aerial view of the island.
Rent a rowboat
Row yourself to the island from Mlino or the castle boathouse. Cheaper than a pletna and far more fun with two people.
Straza Bled toboggan
A 520m summer toboggan run down the hill above the lake, with a chairlift up. Reliably the best-value thrill in Bled.
Swim at the lake lidos
Bled is a warm glacial lake, hitting 24C by August. The grassy Grajsko kopalisce below the castle is the pick.
Pokljuka plateau
A 1,200m forested karst plateau above Bled inside Triglav National Park. Cool spruce trails, biathlon stadium, almost no tourists.
