A steep 20-30 minute climb with metal ladders near the top, rewarding you with the definitive aerial view of the island.

Row yourself to the island from Mlino or the castle boathouse. Cheaper than a pletna and far more fun with two people.

A 520m summer toboggan run down the hill above the lake, with a chairlift up. Reliably the best-value thrill in Bled.

Bled is a warm glacial lake, hitting 24C by August. The grassy Grajsko kopalisce below the castle is the pick.

A 1,200m forested karst plateau above Bled inside Triglav National Park. Cool spruce trails, biathlon stadium, almost no tourists.
