Roadside inn between Portree and Dunvegan, open all year with food to 9.30pm and music sessions most Sunday afternoons. Book a table.

Skye's oldest inn, on the water at Waternish since 1790. Bar to midnight and over 120 whiskies, but the kitchen shuts at 9pm.

Bar at the Sligachan Hotel with over 400 whiskies, open from 10.30am till late and food to 9pm. Walk in only unless you are a group of ten.

Loch Harport pub a short walk from Talisker, with irregular live music from trad to rock. Check their Facebook page before setting off.

Portree pub and restaurant running regular trad sessions, concerts and ceilidhs. About as close as Skye gets to a proper night out.
