FIESTA SIDE
El Nido runs on boat time — tours leave mid-morning and everyone is sunburnt by four — so the night is a sunset drink on the southern beaches followed by dinner in town, and there is no club scene at all.
Las Cabanas Beach (Maremegmeg)
The standard sunset spot, about ten minutes south of town by tricycle: a run of beach bars on the sand facing west, filling from around five. Agree the tricycle fare before you set off, and arrange the ride back or walk up to the road.

Calle Hama, El Nido town
The beachfront lane in town proper, lined with bars and restaurants that put tables out on the sand, with acoustic sets most nights. It is the busiest part of town after dark and everything is within a two-minute walk.

Corong-Corong
The bay immediately south of town, where a lot of the cheaper accommodation sits. Sunset drinks here cost less and the beach is emptier than Las Cabanas, though the swimming is poor at low tide.

Lio Beach
Planned beach estate about fifteen minutes north of town beside the airport, with a small strip of restaurants and beach bars on a wide clean beach. Quieter, tidier and noticeably more expensive than the town.

Expect an early night
There are no clubs and nothing runs until dawn; bars wind down not long after midnight and the town is quiet by the time the first boats are being loaded. Plan the drinking around sunset, not around a late start.
