Cebu Coliseum and Hoops Dome
The PBA brings occasional games to Cebu's arenas, and the Cesafi college league fills them from about September to December. Tickets are cheap and the noise is not.
Cebu City Marathon
A January road race on closed streets through the old city and out along the coastal road, started well before dawn.
Mactan triathlon
Long-course triathlon races out of Mactan and Lapu-Lapu, swimming in the channel and riding the bridges, in the second half of the year.
Barangay courts and boxing gyms
Covered courts in every neighbourhood run leagues most evenings, and Cebu's boxing gyms — the city has produced world champions — take visitors for sessions.
