The city's aquarium at the South Road Properties, with a shark tunnel, sea lion show and covered walkways. Half a day. Ages 2+.
Moalboal sardine run
Millions of sardines shoal a short swim from the shore at Panagsama, visible with a mask alone. Deep water, so confident swimmers. Ages 8+.
Anjo World theme park
A modest amusement park south of the city with a Ferris wheel and gentle rides, quiet on weekdays. Half a day. Ages 5+.
Traffic, malls and typhoons
Budget an hour to cross the city at any time of day. Ayala and SM Seaside are the air-conditioned refuges, with high chairs and early food. Typhoon season runs June to December.
