Nigi Nigi's complex on White Beach at Station 2, running in some form since 1989: food and drink through the day, then live music, drag shows, billiards and a dance floor at night. It is the easiest first stop if you have not booked anything.

The island's best-known club, on the beach path at Station 2 near D'Mall, opening late and running latest at weekends. Its own website is currently just a placeholder, so check its Facebook page for the night's line-up before you walk down.

Beachfront bar and restaurant at the quieter Station 1 end of White Beach, and the landmark everyone up there navigates by — Ariel's Point runs its morning registration from Casa Mezcaleria directly opposite.

The dense middle of the island: a grid of small bars, restaurants and shops set back from the beach path, all within a few minutes' walk of each other. Wander rather than plan, and it is where the tricycles drop you.

Beach parties, bonfires, fire dancing and drinking on the sand were banned in the 2018 rehabilitation and the ban has held, with music kept inside licensed venues. Boracay's nightlife is real but indoor, and it winds down earlier than its old reputation suggests.
