Boracay ยท Backpacking

ON A BUDGET
Four kilometres of white sand, a strict beach code, and beds cheaper at the southern end.
Boat off White Beach, Boracay
Station 3 and the backstreets
The southern third of White Beach and the lanes behind D'Mall hold the hostels; Bulabog on the windward side is cheaper again and full of kitesurfers.
What a day costs
Dorm โ‚ฑ600โ€“1,100, food โ‚ฑ350โ€“700 if you eat at the talipapa grills, e-trikes โ‚ฑ30โ€“100. Around โ‚ฑ1,100โ€“2,000, roughly 19โ€“35 USD, plus arrival fees.
Getting around cheap
E-trikes run the main road on fixed fares, and White Beach is walkable end to end in about an hour. Reaching the island means the Caticlan ferry plus terminal and environmental fees.
Free by day
The full length of the White Beach path at sunset, the coarse sand at Puka Shell Beach, and the view from Mount Luho over the island.
Station 2 beachfront
The bars and fire dancers between D'Mall and the beach are where hostel crawls converge after dark; drinking on the sand itself is not allowed.
