Former woodworking factory at Dreyers gate 72 that now holds a bar, restaurant, saunas, rooms and a concert programme — the one place in Lofoten that reliably has something on at night. Hours vary by season, so ring ahead (+47 96 00 80 00) before driving out.

Ice gallery and bar on the quay at Fiskergata 36; 325 kr includes a drink served in an ice glass plus a poncho and gloves. Summer 12:00–22:00 daily, winter from 14:00, and 18:00–22:00 from mid-September.

Restaurant in an 1828 quayside warehouse at Gunnar Bergs vei 2 in Svolvær, part of the Svinøya Rorbuer cabins, which also run a floating sauna. Dinner and a drink afterwards is roughly what a big night out looks like here.

Almost everything open in the evening in Lofoten's largest town sits on or just behind the quay at Torget, within a five-minute walk. Prices are high by Norwegian standards and kitchens close earlier than you expect, so check serving times.

Between late May and mid-July the sun does not set and the villages stay busy; from October onwards places cut their hours and some shut for the winter. Check opening times the same day rather than turning up hopeful.
