Aalesunds FK play here between late March and early December, on a ground wedged against the water. Crowds are small enough to buy on the day.
Strandafjellet ski resort
An hour inland, open roughly December to April, with fjord views from the top and lift passes well below alpine prices further south.
Borgundfjord cod fishing
From February to April small boats crowd the fjord chasing spawning cod — a competitive local tradition as much as a fishery, watchable from shore.
Aksla stair running
The 418 steps are the town's outdoor gym, timed by locals and raced occasionally. Free, brutal, and busiest early on summer evenings.
