Where Nagarkot goes after dark — bars, live music and the late ones worth staying up for.
There isn't any
Nagarkot has no bars or clubs. Dinner is at your hotel and the ridge is asleep by 10pm. That is entirely the point.
Hotel terrace drinks
Every hotel has a bar and an east-facing terrace. Order a Gorkha beer and watch the valley lights come on.
Stargazing
At 2,195m with almost no light pollution, the ridge gives you a night sky Kathmandu can never manage.
Bonfire evenings
In the cold months most guesthouses light a fire on the terrace after dinner. Ask when you check in.
Early night, set an alarm
The one genuinely useful bit of Nagarkot nightlife advice: sunrise is the event, so go to bed.
