Durmitor National Park charges EUR 5 per person per day, which includes the visitor centre and the educational paths; the visitor centre alone is EUR 1. It is per day, not per visit, so plan which days you actually go in.

The park's own price list is the cheapest in town: bikes at EUR 3 an hour or EUR 8 a day, rowing boats on the Black Lake at EUR 10 an hour (EUR 5 with your own), snowshoes EUR 4 a day and poles EUR 3.

The park runs organised tours of the 80km Durmitor ring at EUR 20 a head by van or EUR 30 by jeep, park fee included. Split against fuel and a hire car for one day it is the cheapest way to see the Sedlo pass and the canyons.

A walking day comes to about EUR 30-45: a hostel bed or cheap room, bread and cheese from the junction shops, the EUR 5 park ticket and a konoba dinner with a beer. Add EUR 8 for a bike, EUR 20 for the ring tour or from EUR 60 for a half-day on the Tara, and it doubles.

The park's own price list includes accommodation at Susica at EUR 10 a day and fishing permits at EUR 20 a day, which is as cheap as Durmitor gets. Wild camping is restricted inside the park, so ask at the visitor centre before pitching.
