FK Mogren, twice Montenegrin champions, was wound up in 2017. Its successor FK Budva plays in the Third League South at Stadion Lugovi, a 1,500-capacity ground built in 1960. The nearest first-division club is OFK Petrovac, 13km south in the same municipality at the 1,630-seat Stadion Mitar Mico Golis.

The town's biggest sporting name: founded in 1946, a fixture of the Montenegrin league and the regional competition, and a Euroleague Final Four side in 2011. The season runs autumn to spring, which is exactly when the town is otherwise quiet.

Montenegrin champions in 2016 and 2022, one of only three clubs in the country to have won more than one title. Home games are played indoors at the Mediteranski sportski centar, the town's sports hall.

Tandem flights launch from the ridge above Brajici and land near Becici beach, with the Budva bay and Sveti Nikola underneath. Operators are based in Becici and along the Budva–Sveti Stefan road; flights depend entirely on wind, so book flexibly.

The Adriatic here is comfortable from roughly June to early October and coldest in March. Kayaks, paddleboards and pedalos are rented by the hour along Slovenska plaza and Becici through the summer; outside those months the rental stands are gone and the sea belongs to the water polo club.
