A steep cable car from the Oriental Village to a curved sky bridge on the Machinchang ridge. Queues are worst midday. Ages 4+.
Underwater World Langkawi
An aquarium at the south end of Cenang with a walk-through tunnel, penguins and a rockhopper feeding session. Ages 2+.
Kilim Geoforest Park
Boat trips through mangrove channels past eagles, bat caves and a floating fish farm. Two to three hours, shaded. Ages 5+.
Tanjung Rhu Beach
Wide, shallow and calm in the north of the island, with a sandbar you can walk out along at low tide. Any age.
Cars, jellyfish and rain
Car hire is cheap and easier than scooters with children. The wet months, roughly July to October, bring rough water and occasional jellyfish warnings.
