Aquaria KLCC
A basement aquarium under the convention centre with a long moving walkway through the shark tunnel. Ninety minutes. Ages 2+.
KL Bird Park
A large walk-in aviary in the Lake Gardens where hornbills and storks wander the paths; shaded, but hot by noon. Ages 2+.
Sunway Lagoon
A big water park in Petaling Jaya with wave pool, slides and a small wildlife section, about forty minutes out by rail and shuttle. Ages 4+.
Petrosains Discovery Centre
Hands-on science floor inside Suria KLCC with a simulated helicopter ride and an oil-rig section. Two to three hours. Ages 5+.
Pavements, Grab and rain
Footpaths are broken and shadeless; Grab is cheap enough to use for every hop. Thunderstorms land most afternoons, and the malls are the default refuge.
