The island's west-side strip of riverside bars and restaurants. Beers, hammocks and the sunset. Nothing here runs late.

The quieter east side: cheaper guesthouses, family kitchens and a calmer place for an evening beer over the water.
4000 Island Bar
Long-standing Don Det backpacker bar for cheap drinks, music and a crowd. One of the few places that stays up at all.
Don Khon after dark
Almost no nightlife whatsoever: a beer on a guesthouse terrace and a river full of stars. That is entirely the point.
Sealed bottles only
Island bars are informal and stock can be uneven. Stick to sealed beer and spirits opened in front of you, and skip free shots.
