Based at Blue Marlin Beach Hotel on Galu Beach, running since 2003 and the first kitesurf school in Kenya to affiliate with the IKO, back in 2006. They also teach windsurfing, wing foiling, e-foiling, SUP and surfing; June to September brings the beginner-friendly shore break.

Diani Marine is a PADI five-star centre based at Diani Beach with a purpose-sunk wreck among its sites, and whale sharks passing between November and February. Ocean Tribe, an SSI centre in Diani, is the other established option and publishes its prices online.

An 18-hole course set back from the beach at Diani, open to beginners as well as club players. It hosts the Diani Beach Masters each October, a two-day tournament for professionals and amateurs; green fees are published in the resort's annual price list.

Skydive Swahili operate Thursday to Monday, 8am to 6pm, from Blue Marlin Beach Hotel on Galu: 10,000 feet, landing on the sand, USD 350 for the jump and USD 100 for the media package. KCAA and USPA certified, with limits of 100kg for men and 90kg for women.

Diani has no professional team and no stadium. The nearest city with organised league sport is Mombasa, about 90 minutes north including the Likoni ferry crossing, and Nairobi beyond that. What the south coast has instead is water and golf.
