Minibus from Amman's Tabarbour station is a couple of dinars each way, site entry is 10 JD for foreign visitors, and lunch from the town bakeries is another one or two. A day from Amman comes in under 20 JD if you avoid taxis.

The pass is 70-80 JD depending on Petra days and covers Jerash at 10 JD, Ajloun Castle at 3 and Umm Qais at 5. Those three alone are 18 JD, so the pass only pays if Petra is also on your list.

The two are twenty-five kilometres apart and every driver in Amman will propose them together. Splitting one car four ways beats two separate day trips, and it is the only way to see both without losing a day to buses.

Um Qais to Ajloun is 78.2km over four days with 3,430m of ascent, through the greenest part of the country. It is unmarked, the association recommends a local guide, and villages like Orjan, Rasoun and Baoun run community homestays.

Ajloun Forest Reserve's economy cabins are 45-75 JD single and 55-85 JD double depending on nationality, with reserve entry and the self-guided Roe Deer trail included. The 2025 rate sheet is published in full on the RSCN site.
