FIESTA SIDE
Where Amman goes after dark — bars, live music and the late ones worth staying up for.

Rainbow Street
The Jabal Amman strip: rooftops, shisha terraces and three-floor restaurant-bars. Most places open around 9pm and run to 1 or 2am.
Books@Cafe
A long-running bookshop, cafe and terrace bar just off Rainbow Street, and the least intimidating place in the city for a first drink.
Jabal Al Weibdeh
Quieter than Rainbow Street, with galleries and small bars scattered around Paris Circle. Walkable, if you do not mind the stairs.
Souk Jara
Fridays from mid-May to mid-September, off Rainbow Street: craft stalls, food and live music, 10am to 10pm. A street market, so no alcohol.
Carakale
Jordan's first craft brewery, founded in 2010 at Fuheis north-west of the city, and stocked in the licensed bars around Weibdeh and Jabal Amman.
