A spiral walk down around a central tank holding whale sharks, at Tempozan on the bay. Works for every age, including babies in carriers.
Kids Plaza Osaka
Four floors of climb-on, press-everything exhibits plus a Hundertwasser play structure. Aimed squarely at ages two to ten and cheap by Osaka standards.
Tennoji Zoo
A compact century-old zoo in a park below Tsutenkaku tower, walkable from Shinsekai. An easy half-day for under-eights.
Fares, lifts and dinner
Under-sixes ride free, six to eleven pay half. Department stores hide clean nursing rooms; conveyor-belt sushi solves the six o'clock dinner problem.
