The Yui Rail covers Naha; express bus 111 runs north to Nago in under two hours. A hire car split three ways beats the timetable outside the city.

Naminoue Beach sits under a motorway flyover in Naha, Cape Zanpa's cliffs and lighthouse park cost nothing, and Chatan's sunset seawall is public.
American Village, Chatan
A neon retail-and-bar strip on the old base fringe, an hour by bus from Naha, where guesthouse crowds and off-duty Americans mix cheaply.
