The one real club, cut into the rock at the eastern end of Spiaggia Grande at Localita Grotte dell'Incanto 51. Its own site gives daily hours of 5pm to 4am; it runs on table bookings and door spend, so it is the most expensive night in town.

Le Sirenuse's small terrace bar at Via Cristoforo Colombo 30, open April to October from 5pm to midnight, weather permitting. It takes no reservations at all and works first come, first served, so arrive before sunset if you want a seat at the rail.

A long-standing restaurant and bar directly on Spiaggia Grande, open through the season. Useful as a late drink on the beachfront after dinner rather than as a club, and it is one of the few places at beach level still serving once the day-trippers have gone.

Positano's internal orange bus stops running in the evening, so after the bars you are choosing between the staircases up from the beach or a taxi, and taxis here are few and priced by the trip rather than the meter. Agree the fare before you get in.

From roughly November to Easter most bars, beach clubs, ferries and a good share of the hotels are closed, and the town is genuinely quiet. If you are here off-season, the nearest places with a reliable night out are Sorrento and Amalfi.
