A 47-kilometre ultra with about 2,600 metres of climbing, threading all five villages, run over 19–21 March 2027. Entry is by lottery with pre-registration opening on 1 September, plus wild cards for runners above set ITRA and UTMB points. Trails close for it on race weekend.

La Spezia's club plays in Serie C in 2026/27 at the Picco, its ground since 1919, with about twelve thousand seats. Sampdoria are in the same division, so the derby is back. The nearest Serie A is Genoa, an hour and a half up the coast.

The Cinque Terre AMP was established in 1997 and covers the sea off Riomaggiore, Vernazza, Monterosso and part of Levanto, with integral reserve zones at Punta Mesco and Capo Montenero. Diving needs a permit — daily or annual — issued by the park online, and organised dives go through authorised centres.

The park runs its own guided walks from May to October, included in both versions of the Cinque Terre Card and bookable to a schedule. Worth one morning: the terraces and dry-stone walls make a different kind of sense when someone explains who maintains them and why.

Levanto's bay picks up the swell the five villages are sheltered from. The town's own tourism listing carries one water-sports operator, Brothers Surf Club, running surf lessons and camps, SUP and kayak tours, and summer camps for children.
