A terrace bar above the harbour with the postcard view and a bruschetta bar. No reservations; join the list in person and wait.

A handful of bars on the piazza where the village and its visitors drink together until about eleven, and then it stops.

The local sweet wine, made from grapes dried on the terraces, sold by the glass in village enotecas. Expensive for a reason: yields are tiny.

The only village with real sand, and the only one with beach clubs that keep music going into the evening in summer.

If you want a genuine night out, it is here rather than in the villages: a working port city with bars along Via del Prione.
