The best-known Doolin pub, on Fisher Street in the lower village and trading since 1832. Open daily from 10am to late, a session every evening, and a full food menu. It takes coach groups, so it is busiest early and calmer after ten.

Pub in Roadford, the upper village, with sessions most nights and a smaller, more local room than the Fisher Street pubs. Food is served through the day. No official website that resolves — check its Facebook page for session nights.

The third of the Doolin trad pubs, also in Roadford, and the one musicians tend to name first. It closes for part of the winter. Its old web address now redirects to an unrelated business, so ignore search results pointing there.

The hotel bar at the village's inland end, with live music daily and a separate room, The Attic, used for ticketed gigs. The same operation runs the Doolin Folk Festival and the Wild Atlantic Music Sessions.

There is no taxi rank in Doolin and public transport stops long before the music does, so plan to stay in the village or arrange a lift before you start drinking. Last orders are 11.30pm Sunday to Thursday and 12.30am Friday and Saturday.
