The north-east bay catches the meltemi all summer; schools rent boards and run lessons, with the strongest, most reliable wind in July and August.

Dive centres at Paradise and Lia run reefs, walls and a wreck from May to October; visibility peaks in early autumn.

Charter yachts work the islands from May to September and Mykonos is a standard overnight stop; regattas cross the group through summer.

No local side of note. The Greek Super League runs August to May, and Chora's tavernas put the Athens derbies on outside.
