Palais Rohan

European Parliament
The institutions sit north-east of the centre. The Parliament runs visits during session weeks, booked well ahead.
Barrage Vauban
The seventeenth-century weir at the end of Petite France, with a roof terrace looking back over the covered bridges.
Parc de l'Orangerie
The city's oldest park, next to the European quarter, with a lake and a resident stork population.
Cross to Kehl
Tram D runs over the Rhine into Germany in a few minutes, which makes for a cheap and faintly absurd afternoon.
