Two Marais mansions of taxidermy staged as surrealist art, at 62 rue des Archives. Tue to Sun 11-6, closed Mondays.

Marché des Enfants Rouges

The city's oldest covered market, trading since 1615 at 39 rue de Bretagne. Tue to Sun; arrive at noon and eat well.

Atelier des Lumières

A former iron foundry at 38 rue Saint-Maur where whole painters get projected wall to wall. Shows rotate by weekday.

Rodin's garden, not the house

Three hectares at 77 rue de Varenne holding The Thinker and The Gates of Hell. A garden-only ticket costs far less.
