One ticket at Alaverstaanraitti 5 covers more than ten exhibitions, including the Finnish Museum of Games, the Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame, the Postal Museum, the Tampere Museum of Natural History and the Pirkanmaa regional museum. Tue-Sun 10-18, closed Mondays; 16 / 11 / 8 euros, Museum Card accepted.

Inside Tampere Hall at Yliopistonkatu 55, built around Tove Jansson's original illustrations and the multi-storey Moomin House model. Tue-Fri 10-18 and Sat-Sun 9-17, closed Mondays; 18 euros adults, 9 children.

The tower on the Pyynikki ridge at Näkötornintie 20 is open daily 9-20, 9-21 in summer, and entry is 3 euros for adults and 2 for children 4-15. The cafe at the base has been frying its doughnuts to the same recipe for nearly forty years, with vegan and gluten-free versions.

The oldest public sauna in Finland still in use, built in the early 1900s at Pispalan valtatie 9 and run by the local sauna association. Open Mon and Wed 18-22, Fri 15-21 and Sat 14-22; bring a towel and expect a wood-fired, no-frills room rather than a spa.

The observation tower over the Särkänniemi park on the Näsijärvi shore, with Restaurant Näsinneula and the Neula Sky Cafe at the top. The tower is separate from the amusement park rides, so you can go up without buying a park wristband; check current hours before setting out.
